I have an AOL account set up with POP. AOL's server automatically places some mail in spam, how can I see that in TB? Would IMAP work better? I use POP because I like being able to work offline and I have a lot of emails and need to keep them local. IMAP supposedly can slow the system each time it checks mail by having to read the headers of the entire account's emails.

Would I have to totally turn off AOL's spam controls and use TB's? I'm not even sure if AOL allows you to set spam controls and marketing preferences with webmail as I have always done it from within AOL's Desktop application.

Thanks.

POP only connects to the Inbox on the server. You will have to go to the AOL site to check any other folders.

IMAP email is server based. All messages and folders stay on the server and you view them remotely with your computer or other devices.

Only you can decide what works best for you. Do some research on the difference between the two protocols.
