I selecting Show my homepage, clicked ok, closed the session and opened a new one. All the tabs from the previous session opened. Then I selected Show a blank page, clicked ok, closed the session and opened a new one. All the tabs from the previous session opened again. Can this be fixed?

You can check if you have a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that sets the browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once pref to true.

You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

Windows hides some file extensions by default. Among them are .html and .ini and .js and .txt, so you may only see the file name without file extension. You can see the real file type (file extension) in the properties of the file via the right-click context menu in Windows Explorer.

I don't want to restore a session. I want to stop restoring the session. I have followed these steps:

Click the menu button New Fx Menu and choose Options. Select the General panel. From the When Firefox starts drop-down, select Show Homepage Click OK to close the Options window .

I have also tried Show a blank page and no matter what I choose Firefox continues to restore the previous session. Is there a way to get this to stop?
