Firefox was very slow so I did a restore. Now every site I try to go to - including Mozilla's support site - says the connection is untrusted. How can I remedy this and still solve the slow browser problem?

hello Stephanie331, first please make sure that the date & time is set correctly on your system.
if this doesn't solve the issue (or it is already set properly), could you tell us on which operating system you're running firefox and what kind of security software you are using?

"This Connection is Untrusted" error message appears - What to do

Hi - I have a very similar problem. I had to remove some malware, and ended up reinstalling Firefox. Now, no matter the search (Google, Yahoo, Facebook for example) I am getting an error, This Connection is Untrusted for what I consider to be basic websites and searches, and really don't want to be investigating 'certificates' for every search I do as has been recommended in some previous posts. I've used Firefox for quite some time and have never seen this issue before. I am very reluctant to check I Understand the Risks. Any suggestions? I'm using Windows 7. Thanks

I can't even get into Mozilla login or some support sites through Firefox and I prefer it over IE. Everything is untrusted. Any help? I hope I have provided what you need here. Application Basics

Hi Ink

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
