Since 20.0 download, Well, this is embarassing (windows & tabs) comes up every time. I tried reset-didn't work. What now?
Since the 20.0 download, every time Firefox opens with" Well, this is embarassing" (having trouble recoverings windows and tabs) then lists windows and tabs for each site I have been on. I choose one - hit restore - and then I can open my home page. I went to Support and tried Reset, retstarted and opened Firefox but the same window appeared again. This time Windows and Mozilla support were on the list. What can I do next? I have no idea how to fix this. I have a MacBook Pro.

hello, this is currently a problem in firefox when you first close all open firefox windows and then close the application afterwards - the bug should be addressed in a later version of firefox.
as a workaround in the meanwhile you could close firefox (through firefox > quit) while the browser window is still running or try this: enter about:config into the firefox location bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash. double-click it and change its value to false.

You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox Profile Folder that store session data.
Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).
If you have submitted crash reports then please post the IDs of one or more crash reports that have this format:
- bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx
You can find the IDs of the submitted crash reports on the about:crashes page.
- You can open the about:crashes page via the location bar, like you open a website, or open this page via "Help > Troubleshooting Information".

I also have the same problem on my mac. I done exactly what you suggested but it made no difference so there must be something wrong with the latest version. I have also reset Firefox to its default state and been to firefox preferences and clicked on restore to default, nothing makes any difference.
Too bad... Is it so difficult to fix this Mozilla? Nothing of the suggestions work. Got to understand it. THIS IS A PROBLEM. You have to fix this and update. Since then no firefox on my computer.

OK Mozilla, fix this problem If I wanted to have to go into programming I would have taken diferent classes in college.
If I have to start changing things to fix your problems you created in Version 20.0, then I am done with Firefox, Hello Chrome.
Hi PMCMike, I feel your pain, but this is not hard to do: open a page, do a search, double-click, you're done. Faster than downloading a new browser.
