CMD+Tab minimizes extension windows
Let's use password manager as an example:
- Open extension
- Search entry
- Copy username
- CMD+Tab into another application
- Paste username
- Open Firefox back
- Copy password
- Switch to another app and paste password too
- Optionally return for TOTP code
Problem is step 4 breaks the whole process - when you perform CMD+Tab, extension window is closed. This behavior is consistent, but doesn't appear in other browsers. Is there any hidden setting perhaps? Searching lead to absolutely no results.

Hi vladgamebox7, I've just tried testing this on my mac with the Firefox password manager and an add-on I have called Clippings. The password manager opens a new tab, which is kept open if I command-Tab to another application and back. Clippings opens a new window, which is kept over top the Firefox window if I command-Tab to another application and back.
When you say "extension window", are you referring to the sub-menu that appears when clicking on a Toolbar icon? Would you be able to provide a screenshot?
What Password Manager do you use (built-in about:logins or an extension like your question suggests) ?
The built-in Firefox Password Manager opens the about:logins page in a tab and this wouldn't cause this issue?

Yes, exactly. I attached image of what I mean. When I tap on extension icon in toolbar, window of said extension appears. If I change focus from Firefox (either CMD+Tab or even click outside window on my second display) it will close extension sub-menu and with it all progress inside it. I could open it in sidebar, but I have my tab tree there and it's not that comfortable to use.

Bitwarden. I won't use another PM just because of this behavior, that's unreasonable.
Hi vladgamebox7, I can confirm this behaviour, regardless of which add-on is used. Does Bitwarden have a stand-alone app that can be added to the menu bar? I'm a 1Password user, and usually use the menu bar icon.
In the meantime, I'll try to find out if there are plans to change this behaviour.

It can use sidebar, it's just that i have another add-on in this place. But I can use it as a desktop app for now.
