Hi. I'm on 68.0b12 and I keep getting a message that Firefox can't update automatically to the latest version and I have to install a fresh copy. The day I got the message first I was running 68.0.b9 and I downloaded a fresh copy via the installer 3 times and the version was still the same and I kept getting the message. Now I'm somehow on b12 and I'm still getting that massage. It keeps appearing on my menu and takes me to the Firefox download page.

As you are using a beta version, many updates could be normal. However, if you keep getting the same version you already have . . . . This could be a bug.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

It's not an update I'm already running the latest version. Safe mode didn't seem to help because the notification was gone before that and I'm not sure how long I'll have to wait for it to pop again(tried checking for updates, didn't prompt it). But I don't think I will be able to check that after it shows up as I'll have to restart Firefox which might as well make it go away temporarily. There doesn't seem to be a problem with me updating Firefox so I would wait to see if it's fixed in 69b or 68 public version.

Using beta is for testing purpose only and to continue use of it and not listening to advise to not use it will cause more problems then it helps here.
