When setting up the calendar, Thunderbird will list the calendars and task lists available to be synced. Did you tick the task list as described in this tutorial? https://blog.davekoelmeyer.co.nz/2014/11/26/gmail-calendar-and-tasks-support-in-thunderbird/

What add-on?

Sorry, I should have identified the addon; it was: Provider for Google Calendar.

I don't recall ticking the task list that you mention, so I guess I have to go back and repeat the whole process.

Actually, what I did was create an additional calendar just for Tasks, and re-entered all my tasks manually; I didn't want to go through the nightmare of repeating the linking process.

I'm having the same issue and the linked blog is not available. Can anyone guide me through correcting this? I am using Lightning for calendar, linking to Google calendar.
