Thunderbird recently updated to v 52.7.0 All but about 20 entries in my address book vanished. This is very annoying and I don't know why. I have a gmail account. I exported the address book from Gmail using the outlook csv option. The csv file is in a folder on my drive. I can open it in excel. I cannot import them into Thunderbird. The csv file does not appear in the folder when I browse in the 'next' option after I click on Text File option. Outlook is greyed out as an import option.

I also have this option in my import list Becky! Internet mail What on earth is that?

Anyway, I would like to know how I can import my Gmail addresses please. I have 3 export options in Gmail export. The outlook one doesn't work (see above). There is also Google CSV & Vcard. Should I use one of those?

Help please. I need my address book.
