Dear Support,

I have read, and read, pages of information about Youtube videos freezing and followed their instructions to the tee, but, alas, to no avail.

This problem has just recently started, say, within the last six months. Some Youtube videos will play, others just play a few seconds and freeze. Sometimes, when a video freezes, I can pick another video and it will play perfectly. When I return to the video that previously wouldn't play, it still refuses to play.

I can refresh/Reload the page (Ctrl+F5), but it makes no difference - the video just won't play.

This does not happen with Microsoft Edge or Chrome, just Firefox. The videos that won't play in Firefox, will play in Microsoft Edge and Chrome.

I have been using Firefox for years and have convinced lots of friends and relations to use it. I used to do a lot of my own website building, etc., and find Firefox tools very useful, and a great resource for website builders.

I have been using Easy Video Downloader, too, for years, in conjunction with Firefox. I have disabled, enabled removed and reinstalled Easy Video Downloader, but it makes no difference to the Youtube videos freezing.

I want to continue to use Firefox, as I think no other browser comes near it. I just love it. I also use your brilliant Thunderbird - I have more than 20 e-mail addresses - and find it great.

I would be lost without them!

Please help me fix this problem.

There are three solutions you can try •Type about:support in the address bar then press start browser in safe mode, this will disable all add-ons. This will help you determine if there is an add-on causing problem. If this didn't work then. •Google flash player and download the newest version of it, as it help running youtube. If this didn't work •Then go to firefox setting and disable hardware acceleration
