I downloaded test pilot & enable the side tab add-on. The tabs switched to the side but the page only shows in a 1" square box at the upper left. The rest of the page is gray & blank. I can't disable the side-tab add-on because only the 1" square shows any content & I can't use it for anything.

So, I'm back on Chrome until you tell me how to fix it!

Actually safe mode didn't work because couldn't get to Test Pilot while in safe mode & couldn't download it.

BUT, I spent time in the 1" square that showed in Firefox & found part of "Disable Tabs" that I could click on...clicked on it & problem was gone because Test Pilot's Tab experiment was disabled.

Only 2-3 hours work but what the hell I'm retired...but I'm not very impressed with Test Pilot & how the burden falls on the customer.

Where can I find Test Pilot Support that doesn't require me to be on the Test Pilot page to accomplish something?

Thanks---Rob

Problem is that to use the features your site takes me to I have to have usable access to Firefox & because of the problem side-tab has caused I can't get to any usable pages on Firefox or Test Pilot!

Thanks though---Rob

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Disable Test Pilot. Restart Firefox.

Is that this page?

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and remove the cookies from websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).

"Clear the cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove the cookies" from websites that cause problems.

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Comes with the "turf" of testing experimental features! If you can't handle it, don't be a tester.

thanks for the heads up...maybe Test Pilot should do a more thorough test themselves.
