Firefox 43.0.2 keeps crashing randomly without warning sign or apparent reason and does not create a crash report. I've tried a clean version of firefox with the same version that doesn't have plugins or anything like that but the same issue occurs either way. I'm on windows 10 if that helps

How do you mean by crashing, what happens?

Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
  • Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see

Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}

It will pop up with a notification that says "firefox has stopped working" and my only option is to close firefox I don't believe your stated solution will help since I've recently wiped the computer and got a fresh new firefox, I didn't update it, and it can access the internet, is just crashes randomly?

It could be a problem with the new version.

Do you have nvidia's network access manager or forceware network manager software installed? Disable / remove it.

Try to disable Skype Click to Call.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
