Firefox version 34.0.5

Trying to access google.co.uk or google.com from firefox ONLY causes the error below.

I have removed and reinstalled firefox - no change

I have also tried changing the below to different values in about:config - no change security.tls.version.max =3 security.tls.version.min =1

You can set the security.tls.version.min and security.tls.version.max prefs to 0 to disable TLS (0 means SSL3) 0 means SSL 3.0, 1 means TLS 1.0, 2 means TLS 1.1, etc.

You can check the connection settings.

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

See "Firefox connection settings":

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

I have no proxy set in internet connection settings, as i can access many other sites without issues, even https sites..

I have bitdefender running in aggressive mode and its not showing any issues, and i have no issues with accessing google.com/uk from either ms iexplorer or google chrome.

If you believe this is malware targeting certain HTTPS sites , then please inform the related anit-virus/malware organisations so that they can update their scanning software.
