Can I set the "find" (ctrl-f) function to wait until I finish typing before it searches?
Can I set the "find" (ctrl-f) function to wait until I finish typing before it executes a search? I'd prefer that the screen not jump around crazily (and uselessly) as I'm typing. This behavior is fine for "Find As You Type", but not when I'm using the "find" search box. At the very least, I wish that the display would return to its original position when the result is "phrase not found".
Think about it: if you are looking at a long biography on a web page and you want to search for the word "Beatles," you are not being helped by the display jumping to "born" then to "be" then to "bear" then to "beat the drum" as you type the letters B-e-a-t-l.
Ok, I'm pretty sure this option does not exist. But it should, Maybe my queston should be, "How do I suggest an improvement to Firefox?"
