I have a Firefox Sync Key from a device I no longer have, how can I sync up my new device?
My computer had to be reformatted. Before I reformatted it, I set up a sync account. I have a Firefox Sync Key with my old settings and I also copied my firefox profile to a USB. How can I either sync up my new firefox or replace the profile?

It is best to only transfer the files that you really need (e.g. sqlite files and key3.db if you include passwords) and reinstall extensions and do other customizations once again.

sorry, I should have clarified. I have the password and email account. But when I put the Firefox Sync Key in and tried to sync it said wrong code.
Enter the account name (email address) and password and the 26-character Sync key manually to connect to an existing sync account instead of using the 12-character code to pair a device.
- open "Tools > Options > Sync" or "Firefox > Set Up Sync"
- click "Set Up Firefox Sync" to go to "Firefox Sync Setup"
- click "I Have an Account" : Connect
- click "I don't have the device with me" at the bottom to enter the account settings (email, password, sync key)
- click the "Sync Options" button at the bottom to select what to sync
It says wrong recovery key.
Try to enter the recovery key without any embedded hyphens as one long 26 character string.
hmm, still says its wrong.
If the sync key is wrong then it is possible that you've generated a new sync key and in that case you can no longer access the data on the sync server.
Darn. Ok, like I said I have the old profile saved on a usb. Is there any way to transfer it over? I tried to do so but wasn't successful.

Unfortunately it looks like the files I was able to grab before my computer died were not the right ones... but my questions have been answered.
