After deleting DigiNotar Root CA, it re-appears. Also should I try to delete the 6 other different DigiNotar certificates

I have firefox 7.0 beta, updated a few moments ago. And Windows xp sp3 totally up to date.

When I try to delete DigiNotar Root CA, in accordance with Mozilla instructions, DigiNotar Root CA disappears but reappears when I next open Tools/Options/Advanced/Encryption/View Certificates/Authorities.

Under DigiNotar I see: DigiNotar Root CA - Builtin Object Token DigiNotar Services 1024 CA - Builtin Object Token DigiNotar Cyber CA (twice) - Builtin Object Tokens

Under DigiNotar B.V. I see: (2 other Builtin Object Tokens)

Would appreciate advice.

You can't delete build-in root certificates.
You can edit the certificate and remove the check marks from all the trust bits t make it impossible to use the certificate as a root certificate.

Brilliant. Many thanks.

I have clicked the edit trust button within Tools/Options/Advanced/Encryption/View Certificates/Authorities.

None of the trust elements are checked on any of the 6 DigiNotar builtin object tokens. Presumably the firefox update un-checked them in order to make them no longer operate. Thanks again.
