Not remembering passwords even though "remember my passwords" is checked in security
I recently updated to Firefox 4.0. After that, websites are not remembering my username and password even though, "Remember my site passwords" is checked in Security. Looking for resolve.

Do you mean names and passwords in the Password Manager or do you mean that you are no longer logged on to (remembered by) websites after closing and restarting Firefox?
If the latter happens then you have a problem with cookies that are not kept or the file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
- Make sure that you not run Firefox in (permanent) Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history mode.
- You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
- To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
- Uncheck: [ ] "Automatically start Firefox in a private browsing session"

I mean that if I go to a site and enter a username and password, I am not prompted to remember the information and if I am, when I close Firefox and reopen and go back to the site, the information is blank, nor does it appear if I start to type the first few characters.
If I go into the password manager to look for sites that should have password information there is nothing in the box.
I am going to try to be specific regarding my settings, please keep in mind that this is how they have been set since I started using Firefox and up until I upgraded to 4.0 I had not problem.
- In Privacy the settings that I have always had checked are:
Remember download history Remember search and form history Accept cookies from sites Accept third-party cookies Keep until: I close Firefox Clear history when Firefox closes
- In Security settings that I have always had checked under Passwords are:
Remember passwords for sites
Also, when I select under View -> Toolbar: Menu Bar and/or Bookmarks Toolbar once I close out of Firefox and then reopen it, they are no longer visible.
The option for Permanent Private Browsing is not checked.
