With only some emails, the inline images are appearing in list form as attachments. There are boxes where the images should be with the words "Placeholder image for..." (image name) or similar.

I have T.B. set to display images inline. This is a POP accnt. Set to view message body as ORIGINAL HTML

Thanks for any solution offered. Cheers.

Hello there fossillphill. We have read your message.

Can you switch from pop to imap? Or do you prefer only pop? Seems like that one of the missing files is a video.

Oké you can switch to restart your computer. Try to load your Thunderbird Software without the addon s that you have installed. Check if something is changing.

Check your setting for the view and set them correct to what you like. In this situation HTML original/plain text?

Can you be more clear about this subject? Try to undo all addon and restart. Check for changes. Set your view options.

Sorry, I can't be clearer than actual photos as supplied, unless you ask me specific questions. No addons. View option is set to display images inline, as clearly stated in the original question. (???) "Check for changes" can you be more specific?

This will probably be a tough one, and perhaps involve some old bugs. But first we will need to dig into the message source. Ctrl+U get you the message source. But if you were to save one of the email as an EML file (Ctrl+S) and upload the file you save to your one drive or other online storage and share al ink to it on the forum we can look at the actual message and hopefully see what is happening.
