I am a new TB user. In order to condense a portion of my Local folder tree, I wanted to Move a group of subfolders to a single folder. When I drag and drop one folder at a time, the folder is moved as expected. When I select a group of folders and drag and drop the group, these things happen: -the mouse cursor changes to a spinning wheel, indicating that TB is busy -TB is not actually busy. It will get messages spontaneously. When I click on a folder, the spinning wheel disappears and I can perform normal operations. -I found that some folders were Moved and some were Copied. This persisted after closing and re-opening TB. I wonder whether this is a bug or a user error.

Note: my email account uses POP. I'm using version 78 TB under Win 10. It is an unwelcome chore to identify and delete the copies.

does you have an anti virus that might be scanning file changes in your profile. That would be the most obvious starting point for this type of thing.

But you might want to run some of the system tools to verify the integrity of the hard disk. If it is starting to fail then write errors could cause what you are describing.

Thanks for your reply. Of course, I do have antivirus software running (MS Windows10 defender). I scanned the drive - no errors were found. I am wondering whether I could have accidentally pressed a button (on keyboard or mouse) that changed "Move" to "Copy".
