Hi there,

I run the latest version of Firefox on Windows 10. Since a couple of weeks ago (possibly after installing CCleaner), the shortcut I have on my desktop for Twitter (and others) only seems to work when a tab is already open. Otherwise it just opens Google with an empty mask.

Can anyone suggest what might be causing this?

Many thanks

Ian

If none of your Shortcuts on the desktop are working. You can follow these steps----

Option 1. Launch Task manager and System File Checker
   Option 2. Leave your HomeGroup
Option 3. Uninstall your anti-virus program
   Option 4. Re-do the shortcut
Option 5. Create a system image and then reinstall Windows
Option 6. Make sure your Windows OS is up to date

We do not recommend using 3rd party programs to 'clean' Firefox as they sometimes remove the wrong things.

Also, Firefox can clean itself.
