I am using FireFox. I hate the SYNC. I don't want it, & I will never want it. How do I remove it completely from Firefox, & how do I completely remove the SYNC Popup forever, so it never pops up again?

Thank you

PS......don't even try to sell me on SYNC......I hate the concept, am not interested in it at all, & I will never want it....ever.

I use Windows 10, & have completely customized it to look & work like Windows XP & Windows 7.

No metro crap, mobile phone, or tablet crap either....Just a PC....will never go mobile...thanks, but no thanks ;)

Sorry, you can't remove Sync from Firefox.

You shouldn't be getting a Sync "popup" to sign in to Sync unless you have already set up Sync.

Please provide a screenshot of what you are referring to as that "popup".

See this support article. How do I create a screenshot of my problem? It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.

Then use the Browse .... button below the Post a Reply text box to upload the screenshot.

Here is the Pop-Up:

This is the very annoying SYNC popup that appears every time I open up the browser, above the titlebar.

Every time I press this popup, it takes me to the following SYNC page:

This is the SYNC page I'm taken to when that annoying popup is pressed

It's like a "nagg" to create a SYNC Account, an account I don't want.....an account I never will want............every time I open my browser!

There must be a way to stop that SYNC Popup "nagg" that is coming from the browser.

I don't want it.....it's abusive!!!

Is Firefox into abuse?????!!!!!

Note that there are prefs that you can set to an empty string in case of a server URL (identity.sync.tokenserver.uri) and Boolean prefs (services.sync.engine.*) that set what engines are included in the Sync. You can set all services.sync.engine.* prefs to false to disable syncing all data.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
