Hi Helen, in Firefox, try loading this page:
Yahoo should redirect you to the login page and then to your specific mail server. Once you reach that point, hopefully Yahoo won't complain about your browser any more. And you can bookmark it for future reference.

Hello and welcome to Firefox.
Mozilla doesn't offer new email addresses so you should continue to use your existing accounts. When you access mail in a web browser, everything is saved on the server and you shouldn't lose any messages. However, different mail servers may offer slightly different interfaces to different browsers. If you discover things that are missing/different and have questions about those, please feel free to ask.
Now... to get to your mail sites. Were you using Favorites to access your email sites before? Firefox should have imported those into Bookmarks. The icon to access bookmarks looks a bit like a clipboard, and is located next to the star icon on the toolbar.
Here are some articles for orientation on bookmarks/favorites:
Does that help?
Sorry - here is more info, - I use IE9 , yahoo mail - continue to get this message:
We have stopped supporting this version of Yahoo Mail on IE9 -
Then it askes me to switch to Basic mail or a supported browser - I chose FireFox - my question is : do I login to FireFox , use favorites to access Yahoo to get my emails, and if so why do I continue to get the above error message regarding switching browsers - please give me the correct pathway to access my yahoo emails and explain why I continue to have problems with my emails and continue to get the error message -
PS - FoxFire DID import my Favorites - thanks - Helen
