Normally I just use control+F to open the bar to search the page. However recently Firefox has been opening this quick find bar whenever I tap any letter. It's not too much of a big deal, but in instances where I want to go to Google and type in as soon as the page is loaded (like I used to be able to do) instead of clicking on the search bar, it can get annoying. Normally the search bar or whatever is selected automatically and you can type right away, and it still is, but unless you actually click on it again it isn't ACTUALLY selected; typing will just open up quick find.

Any way to get rid of this?

hi Aurus, you can disable that feature in the firefox menu ≡ > options > advanced > general by un-checking the "search for text when i start typing" preference.
