Why isn't there an 'internet options' facility in Firefox to Enable folder view for FTP sites to upload my website files?
I've used Freeola for website hosting for many years. The instructions give a URl to access my folders, which
" .. will open up your web space folder, containing your cgi-shl and htdocs directories, as shown here:

If your folders do not look like this, and appear as underlined links instead, you need to adjust your browser settings. Click on Tools, then Internet Options in your browser. In the Internet Options box, tick Enable folder view for FTP sites. You need to click Apply then OK, and close IE and re-open it for the changes to take effect. "
So how can I do this in Firefox?
As it disables the alternative method of uploading using Java, inspite of my telling it to allow Java.
I don't want to have to use IE as it is not secure, so how can I upload using Firefox, please?
Thanks

hello, those instructions appear refer to IE only. if you want to use firefox in order to upload data to a ftp server you can have a look at the fireftp extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/fireftp/
IE is integrated with Windows and the Explorer file manager while Firefox is a web browser.
