What is happening to Firefox? So user unfriendly since you changed to Yahoo. I can't print anything from web without first saving to documents. Boo!

For the first time - today i tried to print a map search. Was forced to "save" to documents from which it could be printed. Next needed something from another web site - same story. WHY are you doing this to me? All I want to do is a simple print from the web without getting a big dose of heartburn. Where is my Nexium? I need to take a dozen right now. Now to go unclutter my documents.

hello, you may have an issue with adware/malware related on your pc (this won't have anything to do with the impending search engine change, which didn't happen yet). please perform all these steps:

  1. reset firefox (this will keep your bookmarks and passwords)
  2. afterwards go to the firefox menu ≡ > addons > extensions and in case there are still extensions listed there, disable them.
  3. finally run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner to make sure that adware isn't present in other places of your system as well.

HI roxiea, I understand that you are trying to print from a maps page, specifically a search as well from other sites, but it is asking you to save to pdf before printing.

In order to reset your printing settings to default[ please follow the troubleshooting tips provided here: [Fix printing problems in Firefox]]

Its fixed. A simple adjustment when "fixing" to print solved my problem. However - I did not cause that problem by adjusting settings earlier.

For the record, I do wish Mozilla would go back to Google - now I am getting tons of SPAM in my inbox. Everything changed when you went to Yahoo.

The "change to Yahoo" isn't set to happen until 12/1, what are you talking about?

I won't argue that - however - my Mozilla homepage has changed from Google to Yahoo on the search engine and the whole thing has gone downhill in the past few days. It says so right there. Thats what I'm talking about. My friend did research and say they have made an agreement. So lets drop it - I finally made it better on the printing, but can't stop the endless spam that is coming in these last two days.

If you like whats going on - thats fine with me, I don't and iI don't really need any more lectures from the people who have replied. I hoped to find help instead criticism (implied.)

Thanks anyway. Maybe you meant well. Believe me I'll never ask for "help" on line again.

Roxiea the change to Yahoo as the default search engine has not happened yet and is not in Any Fx 33 releases. It is not until December and with Firefox 34 at earliest.

Something could have installed and made a Yahoo branded search be in your Firefox.

Yes Yahoo is one of the search engine options in Search Bar in Firefox 33 however the Google search engine is still default in the version you posted thread with. Even if you were using the Yahoo search engine in Firefox, it would not be giving you spam.

Thank you - I finally figured that out and have changed the printer setting and all is ok that way now. Appreciate your help.

I don't understand what has happened because on my Mozilla "home page" it now calls out Yahoo as the search engine instead of showing Google. I can't account for any changes as I made none. I have a love/hate relationship with Yahoo so they take heat from me probably a lot more often than they should.

I have learned to keep my issues to myself and wish I knew how to unpost my question. Getting a lot of unfriendly answers. Thank you for your help.

It is indeed not until December that Yahoo will be the default in en-US instead of Google. https://support.mozilla.org/forums/contributors/710886

This will explain how you can change the search engine in Firefox 33 if it this and not something else. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/search-bar-add-change-manage-search-engines-firefox
