Finding the folder for a "Search Bookmarks" result that doesn't have a blue star.
I have thousands of Firefox bookmarks (at one time it got as high as 9 thousand and currently is running at about 4,500).
Anyway, when I do a "Search Bookmarks" Firefox finds what I'm looking for but all too often when I click on the items in the "found" list none of them have a blue star so I can't tell what folder they're in.
So my questions are: 1) How many bookmarks can Firefox track. In other words it looks like there's a limit as far as how many bookmarks get the blue star.
And more importantly: 2) What are your thoughts/recommendations regarding how to determine which folder (ideally the entire tree) the bookmarked item is in? And please don't suggest that I delete a bunch of my bookmarks :-).
TIA

This can be caused by a redirect, for example, a site where you bookmarked the URL with HTTP but they have switched to HTTPS. If it's not an exact match, you won't get the blue star.

No idea.

There are some bookmark search add-ons which show the current folder location in their search results. For example:
You can try to click the results in offline mode to prevent the web server from interfering with a redirect to see if that works. If there is a redirect then you may want to update the bookmark to avoid further confusion.
