Incorrect password error when trying to add accounts
I am using Thunderbird for one my accounts for a long while, nowadays I have to check plenty of e-mail accounts from different instutitions so I decided to put all my accounts there . I successfully added one of my accounts but I having troubles with others.
I tried to add my 2 gmail accounts to Thunderbird but it always gives well-known "incorrect password" error. I can login on web browser with same password. One of my accounts have 2-step while other doesn't, I used configurations provided on Google's own sources, I also tried to deactivate my antivirus but nothing helps.
I made a detailed search in support articles and on web but can't fix it. As I said I am already using it successfuly with 2 accounts. I want to add another 3 but can't do it because of password error. I tried both POP3/IMAP.
Thanks in advance Furkan

One of my accounts have 2-step while other doesn't,
What is the account type for each one - POP or IMAP? Which is the working account, the one with or w/o 2-step authentication?
Note, for POP accounts you'll need to 'allow less secure apps' in your Google account settings, when the account has not been set up for 2-step authentication. https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6009563
I tried both POP3/IMAP.
In case of IMAP, the new account wizard defaults to OAuth2 authentication, which works out of the box. My best guess is you did do something wrong in the process of setting up the account.
If there is a non-working IMAP account, pPlease post your Troubleshooting Information. At the top right of the Thunderbird window, click the menu button , then select Help > Troubleshooting Information. Press the "Copy text to clipboard button" and paste the information into your reply.

Thanks for your message.
I left for home after leaving this message, at home I tried same stuff and it worked.
Now I am at work again, but the previously set and working accounts on Thunderbird are not working. Since I already used and read my mails with same settings at home, I believe this is about the network in my office, they probably block the connection for some reason.
When I try to run it I get an error message as imap connection timed out. I work for a university and I use eduroam connection. In Turkey they generally tend to block many stuff in schools so I am sure this is not about Thunderbird.
P.S: In work network, I also didnt saw the pop-up window for OAuth2, but I saw it and approved mails. I will mark this solved. Thanks again for answering.
