Firefox says "unable to connect" to some sites, seems like only the ones without a valid certificate. How can I get round it to access these sites?
I am on Macbook Air canoot access some sites that I was able to access even a couple of hours ago. The problem seems to be both with Firefox and Safari. One rules I noticed is that I can access sites with valid certificates and cannot the ones without. Any suggestions?

There is security software like Avast and Kaspersky and BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connections and send their own certificate.

This Connection is Untrusted is sometimes caused because the computer system clock is wrong. Check the time / date / time zone settings.
