Win 7 new build . Use IE8 Google search for Firefox. Pick the one that read Mozilla-firefox.org and other stuff it was top on the list of Google search. When I open the file it ask me if I wanted to download safe driver then other program. I hit cancel then kick me out when I open IE8 it had Lasaoren search engine hijack search engine and it downloaded PC optimizer. I was able to change my default search engine back to Bing and remove PC optimizer. Using Microsoft security essentials to scan my computer hope it helps if not going to use Norton. Wanted to know how do I tell which website is safe to down Firefox. Thanks

Here is a tip for Google search, if it has the yellow Ad icon on left of the url above the real search results, it may be a questionable site. In the case of a search for Firefox the Ad links are very likey to be a questionable site and not a www.mozilla.org link. They use the popularity of Firefox to prey on the inexperienced users.
