I have downloaded the upgrade to 3.6.13 twice and run it etc and gone through the process but am still getting the "your
I am still getting the original message on the website which says "your version is no longer protected etc and to download the latest version

It may be that something that you have downloaded/installed on your system has affected your User-agent, which identifies your browser and version:
