latest FF blocks router access
You ppl really need to fix FF mobile to allow connection to Arris routers!
This is all the new TLS standard problem. Arris does not have any update to Arris routers!
There a workaround on desktop but you're completely screwed on mobile!

Hi
What happens when you try to connect to your router using Firefox for Android? Is there any error message?
It's the same msg you see on desktop. It's the result of version 1, 1.2 of the TLS security being outdated.
And ARRIS doesn't have any updated firmware for these routers with the new protocols.
On desktop of course you can change this in the FF about: config, but on mobile we have no access to that.
The actual msg states: Secure Connection Failed
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.
Like I said, it's the same issue on desktop except on FF desktop you can roll back the TLS setting to allow older version.

Hi Greg
From what you are saying it sounds like the issue is more for ARRIS to resolve.
The Beta and Nightly versions of Firefox for Android do have access to about:config, however I recommend that you change any settings with care as it could lead to you losing any bookmarks, user credentials or collections you have saved.
Yes but I was trying to change with FF Mobile lol I did it with desktop, but trying to get there from mobile is not possible.
What happens when you try to change that setting in Firefox for Android Beta?
I just tried beta and it works now like desktop. Change TLS min ver to 1, go to login, accept risk, good to go.
They should add the "about" section to regular FF Android so at least we can change the TLS when we need to access our routers. Then change back after finished.

Hi,
If you want to leave feedback for developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select either Share ideas and feedback… or Submit feedback…, depending on your Firefox version. Alternatively, you can use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.
You can also file a bug report or feature request. See File a bug report or feature request for Mozilla products for details.
