The address wasn’t understood

Firefox doesn’t know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (web2win) isn’t associated with any program or is not allowed in this context.

You might need to install other software to open this address.

what does this even mean?

You are running the On-board Intel Video Chip as your main Video Card as is listed #1. Suggest boot into Bios and turn off the On-board Video Chip. Is not hard, just have to look and disable it. Should not need help or the manual but : It Should be in your Motherboard Manual or the manual will be on the Manufacturers of the Motherboards Website. The R7 is a much better card.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

The protocol is the part at the left of the address. For example:

  • http:
  • https:
  • ftp:
  • mailto:

Firefox handles those 4 itself, but if it finds something else, it checks for the protocol handler in the Windows registry. If you are trying to open an address with an unrecognized protocol, it could be that there isn't a program on your system set up to handle it.

Or if the address is meant to load a web page, maybe there's a typographical error in the address?

it looks like this, and I have this problem in chrome and edge as well, I think something is corrupted or missing, as I used to use this program to open this stuff all the time

web2win:EventEntryScreens.ucEvents_ShowroomShowroomEntry?xdb=CAR6&xDealerId=506&xUsername=121541&custid=8134106&eid=42380809&eventtypeid=4&xSPID=121541&xString=ECA052C3-EA5F-4758-8A47-DD3B92167502

Something is missing, but I'm not able to guess what it is. Can you find any past links for the same site that work correctly and compare them?

more options

no, "links" for lack of a better word are past items. thats what it does, show me a past entry

My guess would be that there is a script which is supposed to intercept that "address" and do something intelligent with it that either contains an error or is blocked for some reason. Since all of your browsers are affected, an error seems the more likely explanation, unless coincidentally you also are using new security software or a new proxy server.

I think it must be on their end. Oddly enough, i tried to download the program, I use the web based version and could not complete.

I don't think we can do much to interpret that, unfortunately.

well, I sure cannot interpret it

Do you want to look at errors on the browser side? You can pop open Firefox's Browser Console (Ctrl+Shift+j), click the garbage can icon at the upper left to remove clutter, then try the link or button that is causing the odd error to see if the console shows anything associated with that, such as a script call that is failing.

The developer tools have a lot of other things you could check, but perhaps it would make sense to submit the issue to the site first in case they have a workaround.
