Foxstart Malware downloads and installs when I download Firefox, have tried 3 times :( System Windows 10
I have used Firefox for many years and really like it. However I have a new computer and now each time I have downloaded Firefox Foxstart and Groupon also then show as tabs in the browser. I have reset Firefox as the default browser but when I search it still reverts to Foxstart. I have Kaspersky protection but it doesn't find these. Any suggestions would be very welcome Thank you

Where are you downloading Firefox from?
If you download Firefox directly from Mozilla, you won't get stuff like that. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/fx/#desktop https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
You may have ad / mal-ware. Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
Hi, Thanks for the reply, however I am downloading direct from the Firefox site.

Hi, Thanks for the info - I worked through most of these already. Also kind of disconcerted that downloading from Firefox site adds in the malware :(
Any download from Mozilla contains only Mozilla programs. Not so with other installers.
It’s very sad, but many of the software down-loaders / installers will trick you into installing not only their program, but other programs as well. You have heard of the fine print in shady contracts, right? Well, some installers you need to look at the itsy bitsy teeny weeny fine print. You are thinking you are giving the installer permission to install the program you want by using the recommended option. But if you use the Manual Option Instead, you discover all kinds of stuff that you do not even know what it is or what it does. From now on, everyone needs to Use The Manual Option to put a stop to this.

As been said no version of Firefox for Windows, Mac OSX or Linux from mozilla.org or www.mozilla.org/firefox/all comes bundled with other stuff.
Just because you may see it while running Firefox does not mean Firefox 42.0 came with them.
Stuff can be added into Firefox by external software or adware already on computer. Https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1083132#answer-779991
