Why does my Verizon bill amount due and date showing up at the top of my yahoo search page?

more options

When I do a search my Verizon bill amount and date due shows up at the top of the search page. Other people use my computer and I'd rather they not know my business. How do I stop this from showing up I tried going to Verizon and there is nothing that talks about how to stop the notifications.

Does this happen only on FF?

What site are you searching on? After your results page loads, can you check the address bar?

If your results are on Verizon's site (or a Verizon-operated site), try logging out of your Verizon account to see whether that anonymizes the page.

If your results are on a site that is not affiliated with Verizon, it's hard to understand how that information would get in there. What search engine is it?

Could you check for any Verizon-related add-ons? You can review your extensions on the Add-ons page, either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then examine what you find on the right side. All extensions are optional, none are included with Firefox, so if in doubt, disable.

Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

Any difference/improvement?
