I can't figure out how to get rid of this Shopper Pro. I have Kaspersky and that didn't prevent it. Apparently Mozilla is not preventing it and I don't know how to rid my system of it.

Generally shopper pro is kind of malware, which installed in your system. So simply refreshing the Firefox won't help. You have to remove it from System. You may follow these:

• Go to your Windows Control Panel.
• Look for Shopper-Pro
• Right click on that program and uninstall it.

If above method doesn't work (I hope it will work), then download and install Ad-Aware Free Antivirus, Update the definition files and run a full scan of your computer.

The title of "Ad-Aware Free Antivirus" is somewhat misleading. It says it is $27.00. I do have Kaspersky and that did not prevent this issue. Shopper-Pro does not show up in the "Uninstall" page. I did find an uninstall page as part of this program but it turns into another program and still does not uninstall. It gave me the option to turn off for 1 or 3 days or a week. I selected a week so I do have a short reprieve but then it will come back. I took it off the Task Manager and it still came right back. I am at my wit's end. It shows up mostly when I am on Ebay with a banner across the top and a banner across the bottom and sometimes a page appears in the middle to the point where I can hardly use the Ebay site. I've never had anything this bad. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

Bad software often travels in packs, with programs designed to reinstall the parts you remove. Here's my suggested procedure for tracking down and cleaning up bad add-ons and other ad injectors. I know it seems long, but it's not that bad.

(1) Open the Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a Program. After the list loads, click the "Installed on" column heading to group the infections, I mean, additions, by date. This can help in smoking out undisclosed bundle items that snuck in with some software you agreed to install. Take out as much trash as possible here.

(2) Open Firefox's Add-ons page using either:

• Ctrl+Shift+a
• "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
• in the Windows "Run" dialog, type or paste
  firefox.exe "about:addons"

In the left column, click Plugins. Set nonessential and unrecognized plugins to "Never Activate".

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable (or Remove, if possible) unrecognized and unwanted extensions.

Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

(3) You can search for remaining issues with the scanning/cleaning tools listed in our support article: Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware. These on-demand scanners are free and take considerable time to run. If they finish quickly and especially if they require payment, you may have a serious infection. I suggest the specialized forums listed in the article in that case.

I have been unable to completely remove this dastardly beast from my computer. I had sent them an email asking how to remove it completely and, to compound the crime, I just got a response from them where they want to use Teamviewer to fix it. Thank goodness I know what Teamviewer is. This should be considered criminal. The option they presented to me originally was to suspend it for 1 day, 3 days or 1 week. I chose 1 week just to buy some time but they didn't even honor that. They are still sending small banners. My frustration level is growing by the hour. HELP!
