How do I downgrade / roll back from Thunderbird's Beta version to the latest working version?
I mistakenly installed TB's Beta version (a while ago - I have no idea how I did it. Must have clicked something without reading. I am now on v30.0). I need to roll back or downgrade to the latest working version. I use TB daily for work purposes (non-IT related) and have large numbers of e-mails which serve as customer history/records, so I can not afford to lose the info. I need to get off the Beta version asap though as I am not qualified to use it and require the stability or a normal working version. Please help!

First, given that you "cannot afford to lose" your mails, you sure make backups on a daily basis, reducing the risk of loosing anything. If not, you really should before proceeding, see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_backup just in case.
Your settings and e-mails are in your profile, i. e. separate from the programme files. You can reinstall without affecting the profile. (Which I'm basically copying from https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/991859 )
So after you've backed up your profile, just install the latest Thunderbird version from https://www.mozilla.org/thunderbird/ or http://www.mozilla.org/thunderbird/all.html (all localized versions). As far as I remember you may be asked something like if you really want to install a new version.
