Firefox automatically updated....one of those "Just restart" messages. And now I get the message, "Firefox doesn't work with this version of Mac OS." NOTHING works, can't even launch Firefox. How the hell do I get back too a version which DOES work with Mac 10.4.11, which is what I've got and which has been working just great?

You can find the last Firefox 3.6.x release in all languages and for all Operating Systems here:

You can disable the update check via:

  • Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Update
more options

Turn off Automatic Updates in Firefox. Go to "Tools" on the upper left hand of the screen. Select the "Advanced Tab," and then under the advanced tab select the update tab. Then select either, "Automatic Updates," "Check for updates, but let me choose," or "Never Check for Updates."
