The view/toolbars/bookmarks Toolbar is ticked and creates a blank line where you would expect to see to the list of bookmarks. Under Bookmarks/Bookmarks Toolbar there is a list of the bookmarks I have placed in the Toolbar. But nothing shows on this blank line. All other toolbars OK. This happened after upgrading from Firefox 3 to 4. OS is XP sp3. Help appreciated

Any chance that you have more than one folder that is labeled Bookmarks Toolbar?

If you ever imported a bookmarks file from another Firefox installation, or used the Firefox Sync service with two different computers, you may end up with more than one Bookmarks Toolbar folder. The "extra" folders would appear in the Bookmarks Menu folder, well below the Bookmarks Toolbar folder that Firefox uses for display on the Bookmarks Toolbar.

Thanks - I understand what you are saying but I'm unable to find the folder Bookmarks Toolbar. Where is it ? Regds T
