After the automatic upgrade to FF version 3.6.12, FF is extremely slow to launch or times out or just does not launch with no error or explanation of why it did not launch. This is not acceptable. Either I need to roll back to a previous version or there needs to be better version. I have never had any major problems since I started with Firefox 3.6.2 Allowed automatic updates as generally the updates do improve surfing. However, 3.6.12 is the exception to the rule and definitely is not an improvement but harking back to the days of Netscape Nav 4 that sucked to high heaven and caused many to switch over to IE.

Applications needing to launch web pages are timing out and getting no response errors. Clicking on the FF primary launch shortcut or on the *exe directly does not mean that FF will launch. Average time to launch is 35 seconds to 1 minute 20 seconds before it launches if it launches at all. This just can not happen. Once a page is launched that page works fine. Just do not ask for a new web page as this causes the same problem to happen again. So clicking on a link to add a tab works like normal and page launches almost immediately from an already opened FF page. Ask to launch in a brand new page causes extreme delay or not to launch at all. So if you are surfing one web page and then need to launch a second page to do a business comparison for example, then it can take literally 15 minutes to get both pages up. Lost productivity that can not be allowed!

One would think that the Firefox creators would make each version better rather than worse. 3.6.12 is ridiculously slow!!

(Removed the add-ons)

I'm having the same problem as other "posters" in here. Firefox is way too slow in opening web pages and even uninstalling and re-installing Firefox to an older version didn't help. I finally uninstalled it altogether and now am running Google Chrome. Much better and faster opening pages and no hangups.
