Firefox does not work well with Roboform lower toolbar. Roboform says it is a Firefox problem. Any ideas how to fix?
When I activate the Roboform lower toolbar in Firefox it appears on the screen in a location that blocks out the progress bar when I am watching a video in full screen mode. However, when I use Microsoft Edge in the same manner, the Roboform lower toolbar disappears (temporarily) when watching the video in full screen mode, and then reappears when I go to another video or when I watch the same video in reduced screen mode. Is it possible to get Firefox to operate in the same manner as Edge?
Please don't tell me it's a Roboform problem because when I ask them the same question they point the finger back at you and claim it is a Firefox problem.

Is this a Plugin or Addon that you installed?

Westend they are only add-ons/extensions.

Hi, what would be the reason to activate Roboform while watching a full screen video ?? Would you consider this as the regular and normal way to watch a video ?
It is a user fault not a Firefox Issue nor a Roboform issue.

To be accurate this https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/roboform/ is a Extension.
https://addons.mozilla.org/faq Add-ons is a general term that groups together the separate Extensions, Plugins, Themes (complete and image), Dictionaries, Language packs and search engines.
The problem with Roboform (and Firefox), and the reason for having the Lower Toolbar active while watching a full screen video, is best described in the post above by SNEJ. In Firefox, with the Roboform Lower Toolbar active, you cannot see the video's "Progress Bar" because the toolbar is blocking it from view. You can disable the toolbar, but then you need to re-install it when you go to another site, which is a pain in the butt. Under the same scenario in EDGE, the toolbar disappears while watching a video allowing you to see the Progress Bar. The toolbar will then reappear when you move to another site, thus precluding your need to re-install it. Maybe the best answer is to give up on Firefox, since they seem uninterested in solving the problem, and instead go to EDGE as my browser.

Speculation. As for 1 you did not supply the information that would be usable to help figure out if this was a Firefox issue or not. Such as the toolbar closes....is really a lot of info that you did not include, thus my 1st answer.
We are not expected to know what these Extensions do nor how they perform especially if do not use them. As Volunteer Support we try to make sense of the info supplied to find a answer.
Developers/Companies make their extensions and supply support for it, though we try to help when possible.
Now do you have any idea if this toolbar is suppose to close in Firefox ??
Nor do we know if this is the Extension or the Standalone Version as no info was sent with your question about your extensions. ??
So at this moment I still do not know if that toolbar is suppose to close in Firefox or not, though we have found out it closes in Edge.
With some little digging on the Roboform Support site this is a Option that can be turned on or turned off from the add-ons page in Firefox under Roboform as per the URL below.
This has now been solved unless it is not and the form is not closing when the option is unchecked and the browser restarted.

Please see additional text added to the last sentence.
Pkshadow........Thanks for trying to help. Sorry if I didn't provide more information. I understand the Roboform toolbar is an option that can be turned on and turned off from the Roboform/Firefox page you noted.
My gripe is that it works perfectly when I set it up in EDGE, but with Firefox it stays in place right over the Progress Bar on full screen videos, thus making the Progress Bar ineffective.
I suspect the toolbar is not supposed to close in Firefox, but since it does close by itself in EDGE, I am hopeful that Firefox can be configured to operate the same way it does in EDGE. However, when I approached Firefox previously I was told it can't happen. Maybe that should be en end of the discussion if there is nothing Firefox can do, and I can accept that, but I thought I'd give it one more try.
Thanks, anyway, for your efforts to understand and address this issue.
Hi, welcome and ya it is a process at times to figure it out when you do not use the program. It sounds reasonable and since do not use it and this is my own system I do not want to install it. Wish to know why it will not hide as you do. All I can say is keep bugging here : 3bar Menu then Help --> Submit Feedback as that gets reviewed by a panel of experts for consideration or to ask the same question.
Make sure detailed and also that if Edge can do it why not Firefox. Keep after the Roboform people also since it is theirs. G'luck
Pkshadow seems to agree with me that since Roboform works fine with EDGE it also ought to work the same way with Firefox; i.e., disappear temporarily while watching a full screen video, and then reappear when moving to another video or another web site.
Anybody else have the same problem as described above........or does anybody else have a fix that will work in Firefox?
