After hanging while trying to save a bookmark, Firefox now hangs when I select Show All Bookmarks
I was saving a bookmark using "Add Bookmark" from the menu bar, but the window where you select the folder froze. Firefox became unresponsive. I force quit. When Firefox restarted, I tried Show All Bookmarks to see if that bookmark had saved or not. But that made Firefox hang again, and so did repeated attempts.

Installed Plug-ins
I don't know how to find this info in Firefox anymore. Flash, Web Developer, ??
This is done automatically by the website if you allow it.
Please add this program to your Firefox. SUMO Troubleshooter {web link} This will provide Firefox troubleshooting data to Mozilla websites. No personal information is listed.
Was it Firefox that reported the crash, or your system?
In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.
The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.
Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.
Firefox repeatedly hung, and I force quit.
BTW I think it's wack to have to install a separate program just to see a list of your plug-ins.
SUMO Troubleshooter allows the website to look at your system.
If you want to see your own plugins, Type about:plugins<enter> in the address bar.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).
Is the problem still there?
Thanks. After starting in Safe Mode, I was able to view bookmarks. So what does that mean? Is there a next step?
It could be the work of one of your add-ons. Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac=<Command>)<Shift> A)
In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Disable a few add-ons, then Restart Firefox.
Some added toolbar and anti-virus add-ons are known to cause Firefox issues. Disable All of them.
If the problem continues, disable some more (restarting FF). Continue until the problem is gone. After, you know what group is causing the issue. Re-enable the last group ONE AT A TIME (restarting FF) until the problem returns.
Once you think you found the problem, disable that and re-enable all the others, then restart again. Let us know who the suspect is, detective.
