How do I retrieve the long column of BBC news items, which vanished at the last FF update?

Prior to the last update and on first opening FF, there was a tab labelled BBC News Items just under the address bar. Clicking this tab opened a long column of news items. Clicking on any one of them opened a web page detailing that news item. After the last update (to 38.0.5) that tab is no longer there. How do I get it back?

Hi, was that a bookmark on the bookmarks bar perhaps? If the bookmarks bar is missing, right click in the tab bar - but not on a tab, and tick/check Bookmarks Toolbar.

It might also be a missing Subscribe button (RSS) - see Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

Scribe, you got it in one! Thanks very much. I do a fair amount of right-clicking, but not in blank bits of screen! What you suggested wouldn't have occurred to me. I'd already tried many different things which hadn't worked. So thanks again.
