Whenever I load a page that has a Vine embedded in it (like a Buzzfeed article), it completely screws up all media playing abilities of my computer until I close and reopen Firefox. After a Vine has been loaded on a webpage, even if I don't click or even scroll down to it, I lose the ability to play any sounds, even songs stored in my media library or even the test sounds in the settings windows of the hardware, even the volume slider refuses to ping after being adjusted. Videos also go screwy, freezing and looping like I'm buffering on a dial-up connection from the 90's. After I restart Firefox, everything goes back to 100% normality with sound and videos working perfectly on everything until I come across another Vine.

How do I stop this from happening?

Note that your System Details List shows multiple Flash plugins.

  • Shockwave Flash 16.0 r0
  • Shockwave Flash 11.4 r402

You can find the installation path of all plugins on the about:plugins page.

You can check the Flash player installation folder for multiple Flash player plugins and remove older version(s) of the plugin (NPSWF32) and possibly (re)install the latest Flash player.
