When replying to an email with � in the message it sends blank but when forwarding it changes to ® and goes threw fine
I dont understand what Thunderbird is doing. This happens when replying to a quote with a ® within the email. Forwarding it keeps it as a ® but just hitting reply it changes to � and sends a blank email.

You see the � (�) when an 8 bit encoding like ISO-8859-1 is selected.
It would normally be sufficient to select Unicode (UTF-8) to see the real character.
