I have tried every suggestion you and RoboForm have given, cannot delete old version of RoboForm, nor install newest.

I have Firefox 20.0.1 and was using RoboForm 7.8.7.5, that had also stopped working and so I upgraded RoboForm to 7.8.8.5 and it will not even load onto Firefox, and I am not able to delete 7.8.7.5 either. I have decided that I can no longer use Firefox until such time as you can fix this. I will not use the password manager you have as a part of the browser, as I do not believe it is secure.

I also will advise my friends who use RoboForm to also avoid Firefox for the time being.

You and RoboForm claim that there is a remove button in Firefox, there is no such button with Roboform. I have even disabled 7.8.7.5 but it will only allow me to enable, I cannot remove this version.

Chosen solution

Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a Clean reinstall. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.

  1. Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
  2. After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
  3. Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
    • Windows:
      • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
      • C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
    • Mac: Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
    • Linux: If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see Install Firefox on Linux. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
  4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
    1. Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
    2. Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.

You should be able to uninstall Roboform from your computer (using the control panel) then download and install the latest version of Roboform.

Did as you suggested, removed RoboForm from my system. Checked Firefox and found that there was still a position for RoboForm, but no number (7.8.7.5) just RoboForm, still only had the Enable button, but when I clicked on the position, it just went to a blank page.

Reinstalled RoboForm, find that RoboForm 7.8.7.5 is back and waiting for me to Enable it. Cannot delete.

Same problem with FF and roboform. Cant download FF 5 that is recommended by RF. I have spent all day on this crap. I am done. will find alternative browsers. Very disappointed in FF and finding a solution is very difficult witht your limited support options. Too bad. Goodbye till you get your act together.

The roboform tech person you talked to who said to use Firefox 7 is horribly wrong, Roboforms works fine with Firefox 23 on mac. Install it from http://www.roboform.com/platforms/mac to get the latest mac version (1.6.3 ATM)
