When I send a message through Thunderbird a copy is saved in the sent folder on Thunderbird. However, unable to view the message in sent folder of the webmail site (please see attached).

You use IMAP mail protocol in Thunderbird and in your account settings in Thunderbird you specify that a copy of sent mail be placed in the sent folder of the account (the default situation)
