When I try to disable content blocking for a particular website I by clicking the info-button to the left of the adress, I do not get the disabeling-button as described in the help pages. Please look at the attached screenshot. I also tried in "settings" to add a website to the list of exceptions (for tracking), but I cannot add to the list, it remains empty.

I just found the reason for this behaviour of Firefox: My anti-virus programm (Avast) has an online-security feature where all trackers were blocked, Firefox could not do anything to unblock. I diabled this particular feature of Avast and now Firefox works as expected! Maybe helpful to others a well! best regards fribir

Hello fribir,

Unfortunatly that screenshot failed to upload - would you try again please  ?

In the mean time : When you're on that site, do you see a shield icon between the padlock and the 'i' in a circle  ?

If not : that means that the site is not blocked .....

no, there is no shield, BUT there is NEVER such a shield, even when in "settings" I choose the most severe rerstictions.

Nevertheless I have no access to some contents because "tracking block" is active.

Would you please do this :

Options => Privacy & Security => under 'History' choose : 'Use custom settings for history' and make sure that 'Always use private browsing mode' is unchecked.

You will then have to restart Firefox.

The shield icon should now appear .....

Well done you  !

But also remember to make sure that you're not in permanent private browsing mode .....

I noticed that you marked my post as Chosen Solution, but it is your post that should be marked as such  !

You can rectify it by clicking on the 'Undo' button to the right of that post and then mark your own (last) post as Chosen Solution.

Again : well done  !
