My default search engine is Google. But my searches are redirected to Mediacom. How do I correct this?
I typed "wow" in the adddress bar and this is where I'm taken: http://search.mediacomtoday.com/mediacom.search.keyword/search/web?q=wow
I have Google set asy search provider. Mediacom is our internet service provider. I'm using a HTC One S running Android 4.1.1
How do I stop Mediacom? Thanks

When you type a search that has no spaces, Firefox will perform a DNS lookup to see whether it's a server name. This is true whether it's mozilla.org or no-such-site because local networks don't necessarily use dotted server names.
Anyway, DNS service providers like your ISP, instead of honestly reporting that there is no such server, tell Firefox they found a site and deliver up their search results.
Some ISPs have an opt-out link on the page to get around this. There seems to be a link for that in the lower right corner of your page. Not sure whether it will work for you. If not, or if you don't even get an opt out option, your best option is to change your DNS settings in your wireless router to a service provider like Google Public DNS that doesn't do this.
From the Firefox perspective, the workaround is to tap one of the search engines below the bar instead of using the go arrow or the Enter key. Then you can bypass the DNS lookup and go directly to Google.
