log into web mail and compose a message. None of the RTF tools work, they do not respond when 'clicked'. Font size and colour works but not embolden, italic, underline etc.

This works using Chrome but not IE11.

An email site that works in Chrome but not Firefox or IE11? What site is it?

It is the new BT Mail webmail. Additionally, when you go into the BT Mail settings, there are buttons for turning RTF on and off.

However, using IE11 or Firefox I find that RTF does not work. It does work using Google Chrome.

Just wondered if there was a workaround. This is for a friend. I use Eudora, hiding behind my firewall!

Sounds as though neither you nor I are in a good position to do any hands-on troubleshooting. If this is a general problem with Firefox and IE, I'm sure BT support discussions will run hot and heavy with troubleshooting suggestions...

Edit: I found a community site here: https://community.bt.com/

Having continued to search for an answer, I found one and it is somewhat bizarre (to me).

I made Chrome, rather than Firefox, the default browser.

RTF editing now works in Firefox and Chrome but still not in IE11. The latter does not bother me for I avoid IE except as a last resort.

So I shall now carry on using Firefox, my preferred option, with Chrome as default. Ho hum!

Does this 'solve' the problem or does anyone else have a view/comment?
