I followed instruction from dotfab studio to remove drop down deals/comparisons. I was to remove Yontoo by going to Control panel; Programs; uninstall a program by finding Yontoo and right clicking to dropped menu and clicking uninstall/change. At confirmation, clicking yes. Instead of a confirmation message I get a box that says "Setup intialization error". I have tried repeatedly, but can't get it to work. So, what do I need to do? I have no idea where all these add-on price checks and comparison came from two weeks ago, but they are driving me crazy!!!! I don't do anything but continously delete all the dropdowns. Please help!!

If this program is a widely recognized as "unwanted software" you may be able to clean it out using the tools listed in this support article: Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware.

Also, you can manually review and clean up your extensions, the category of add-ons most likely to add toolbars and modify pages. Try disabling ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable.

Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

Any improvement?
