Could some one please explainWHY besides financial gain,would ff7 be slated for release about ONE MONTH after ff6?!?!?! Maybe ff6 should have only been an "update" from previous version.

The Firefox 7 and subsequent releases will be at 6 week intervals, not monthly - part of the new fast release schedule for Firefox which was announced last spring.
What type of "financial gain" might you be referring to? The Mozilla Foundation is a non-profit organization.
